Pet Food Pantry

The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for so many. To help those with a dog or cat (and the occasional bird) keep their pets during this health and economic crisis, SFDOG continues working with the San Francisco SPCA and the Latino Task Force to provide free pet food to those in need at the Mission Food Hub.

The Mission Food Hub serves 7000 families per week. As people get groceries and milk for themselves and their families, they can also pick up food for their pets; about 1 in 5 takes pet food.

Together, we have distributed 20 tons of pet food since August – more than any other pet food pantry in the Bay Area.
