SFDOG Sues to Stop GGNRA's Anti-Dog Walking Crusade

12/12/19: SFDOG joins with other dog and recreation groups in filing two federal lawsuits against the GGNRA.

SFDOG has filed two lawsuits against the Golden Gate National Recreational Area, which is attempting to unlawfully use a compendium to resurrect highly controversial elements from its failed dog management plan.

One complaint is a Freedom of Information Act suit.

The second suit is a challenge under the Administrative Procedure Act and the National Environmental Policy Act to the GGNRA’s issuance of the 2019 Compendium, which, if it goes forward, would significantly alter recreational dog walking in the GGNRA.

We thought this fight was over.
